Searchtacular aims to provide a clearly structured and in depth knowledge database. However, where the aim of other wiki sites such as Wikipedia is to refer users to internally created articles, Searchtacular focuses on directing users to externally located information. Searchtacular also makes use of Widgets (free floating navigation tools) which help bring focus to a particular subject area.
